01 / Theatre
One true story. Growing across languages.
For Rosa brings the human reality of the climate crisis onto the stage.
Based on the true story of Benjamin and Rosa, it is a performance about friendship, loss and what happens when grief becomes a demand for change.
02 / The story
The climate crisis is not only a story of numbers. It is a story about people.
Rosa was 15 when she lost her life during the devastating European floods of July 2021. Benjamin was 14. They had met at a youth camp and bonded over their shared commitment to changing the world.
Written by Nic Balthazar and Benjamin Van Bunderen Robberechts, the multimedia solo performance combines theatre, film, music and projection. It remembers Rosa while asking what we owe to those already harmed by the climate crisis.
03 / On stage
See the story come to life.
Theatre, film, music and projection carry the audience between a deeply personal story and the wider human reality of the climate crisis.

05 / For schools
The performance does not end when the curtain falls.
Schools attending For Rosa receive a Teacher Resource Pack developed for students aged 14 to 18. It helps teachers prepare students for the performance and continue the conversation afterwards.
The pack includes background information, discussion questions, creative assignments and lesson material about water, climate justice and youth activism.
06 / Booking
Bring the performance to your audience.
For Rosa can be booked by theatres and cultural centres with the professional stage and technical facilities required for the production.
Schools and other organisations can bring the performance to their audiences by partnering with a suitable local theatre.

Bring For Rosa to another language.
The climate crisis crosses borders. This story should too.
We are interested in working with theatre companies, producers and cultural organisations that want to bring For Rosa to audiences in other languages and countries.
Every new adaptation would be developed in close collaboration with the original team, with care for the true story, its artistic integrity and Rosa’s memory.
