Organised by Climate Justice for Rosa, this youth-led side event brings together young people from across the world who have grown up on the frontlines of the climate crisis. Through personal stories and reflections, they will show what it means to come of age in a time of loss and disruption — and how they are transforming that loss into action.
Moderator:
Benjamin Van Bunderen Robberechts (19, Belgium)
Speakers:
Farzana Faruk Jhumu (Bangladesh)
Juan David Amaya (18, Colombia)
Ebubechukwu Udonsi (15, Nigeria)
Closing remarks:
Elisa Morgera, UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Climate Change
Together, they will explore how human rights frameworks can protect the most vulnerable and ensure that children’s experiences are no longer ignored in climate policymaking.
This side event is part of Climate Justice for Rosa’s ongoing effort to centre the voices of those living the climate crisis — not as victims, but as leaders of change.
